My passion has always been to help people see what is possible when they understand the mind, renew their thinking and partner with God in the process of transformation.
Science and teaching
My professional journey began in Medical Microbiology, where I developed a deep love for science and for understanding what happens beneath the surface. I later became a lecturer, teaching and equipping others, and that desire to help people learn, grow and see differently has remained a thread throughout my life.
A painful turning point
But life also taught me in ways no classroom could. After opening a salon business and pouring my heart, energy, time and resources into it for four years, I had to close it. It was not just the loss of a business. It was the quiet shame of wondering what people would think, the disappointment of seeing something I had built come to an end, and the painful weight of financial loss.
That season made me ask deeper questions. Why do we carry shame when something does not work? Why do we lose confidence after a setback? Why do we know what we want, yet still repeat patterns that hold us back?
The moment everything shifted
In 2009, I discovered neuroscience, neuroplasticity and the connection between emotional intelligence and the brain. It was mind-blowing.
Science began to illuminate Scripture
I began to see that science was giving language to truths Scripture had always taught about renewing the mind, guarding the heart, transforming our thoughts and changing how we live. It did not pull me away from faith. It deepened my awe of God and helped me understand that transformation requires more than desire. It requires awareness, repetition, practice and obedience.
From insight to impact
I started sharing these insights in churches, helping people understand how their thoughts, emotions and responses shape their lives. I also began applying what I was learning in my own home as I raised and taught my children, and with the young adults I worked with in colleges.
I still continue to support education as a guest lecturer, working with university lecturers and students to bring practical neuroscience, emotional intelligence and behaviour change into learning, leadership and personal development.
The Mindsight Academy
Over time, this work expanded into leadership, business and organisational development. I began helping individuals, senior leaders, CEOs, business owners and teams understand the mind behind their behaviour, strengthen emotional intelligence, improve performance and lead with greater clarity under pressure.
That journey became the foundation of The Mindsight Academy, a place where neuroscience, emotional intelligence, behavioural transformation, faith-based wisdom and practical tools come together to help people think better, lead better and live with purpose.
The daily guide
I always thought I would write a book, but I felt inspired by God to create something people could practise daily, not simply read once and put away. That is why Rewire Your Brain with Neuroscience and Scripture Every Day became a daily guide, created to help people renew their thinking, break old habits, change behaviour, draw closer to God, strengthen identity and live with greater purpose one day at a time.
Mindsight Women’s Network
The Mindsight Women’s Network is another deeply meaningful part of this journey. I believe it was inspired by God, and it has been a huge privilege to support women as they renew their minds, grow in confidence, strengthen their faith and rise into the purpose God placed within them.
My message is simple: your past may explain the pattern, but it does not have to define your future. When you understand the pattern, you can interrupt it, practise a new response and create lasting change.
